The day before yesterday (thursday), i went to boot camp, and it was stairs day, but i didn’t do stairs, cuz my knee has been swollen and bothering me the past couple of days, so much so that i had trouble sleeping… and when i did do stairs, i could hear it moving around inside… *yuck*

so instead of doing stairs, i ended up doing a bunch of upper body excercise, that i lack so very much. saida gave me 5 sets of 20 pushups and 15 dips (when you sit down and put your hands down next to you, slide the booty off the chair, and dip down with your arms behind you on the chair/ledge, whatever you were sitting on)… i could barely do the dips… my upper body strength is caputz – nothing… especially the triceps, the muscles that are being used in the dips…

after that, it was 3 sets of 15 flys… where you bend your knees, lean slightly forward from your hips, and you stick out your butt and chest (like playboy), hold the weights in front of you and you lift up and back. then 3 sets of 15 lateral lifts… where you hold the weights at your side, lift up to shoulder height, turn your palm up, two bicep curls there, turn your palm down, and lower back to your side…

the next day, my upper body HURT… it BURNED…

then yesterday, i went to witter field with kay… it was still being built when i graduated which is why we didn’t have our graduation ceremony at witter field… yesterday was the first time i’ve been on the track since it was built. (long time)… we went to go play really… do sprints and race…

turned out that saida was there with a client… i ended up jogging the straightways, and walking the curves… then i sprinted with kay on the straightways, and saida also said that it’s less stress on my knees to sprint… i did a mile and a quarter that way (i don’t like running on a track, the mile feels a lot longer… =0T)

my thighs and my hamstrings HURT… and my calves started to cramp… goddamn it… i can kickbox the shit out of the kickbag and i didn’t feel this sore… what the hell??

so today, i woke up and i felt like Tin Man… my joints were creaking and were completely stuck… and since i missed boot camp, luigi suggested that we do yoga with the 15 minute workout DVDs from mc D’s that alberto gave me. that helped a lot to loosen my joints…

after that, we went out to eat breakfast, but i only ate half and boxed the rest. we also finally went grocery shopping, so i can start cooking again, instead of eating out all the time…

so for dinner tonight, i’m going to have horseradish encrusted salmon, with cous cous, and some green beans tossed lightly with sesame oil and a dabble of red chili sauce… it will be a nice dinner with zan and joe =) i’m looking forward to it!

- arbitrary date: july 4th? yay, independence day, SO…?

- i didn’t see my goal everyday: it wasn’t on the top of my mind, i should have (i probably will) print out a picture of the G5 and stick it on my refrigerator

- it was just for me, and sometimes i can’t do the right thing just for me

so… recently i signed onto my facebook again, and i saw “Inbox (1)”… so i clicked on the inbox and i got the following message:

WEIGHT OVERVIEW

  • by april, i had lost about 10 pounds then gained 5 back
  • weight watchers does not work for me, because i like to be able to cook sometimes too, and how do i count points for that??
  • I went to HK from April 22 to May 7 – got food poisoning the first week and lost 15 pounds
  • I am slowly but surely gaining the poundage back *dammit*

EXERCISE OVERVIEW:

  • still signed up for Jazzercise, but hard to make it in the mornings at 6, tho one week, i was able to make it 2 out of 3 times during the week… but damn, 6am??
  • doing OPR’s life fitness boot camp with a choir member. 18 sessions of intense 1 hr strength and cardio training over the course of 6 weeks… price isn’t bad either $175 for the whole thing…
  • walking more than usual, i still try to take the stairs

EATING OVERVIEW

  • *sigh* — can i not talk about this?
  • have had several if not many emotional bouts of bingeing
  • I take my lunch to work almost everyday, unless I have a lunch meeting.
  • i try and i try and i try my hardest to choose healthier foods
  • grocery shopping and cooking is hard to keep up, and if i cook it, i just want to eat it.

anyway, i gotta get going, cuz OPR boot camp is starting soon and i’m getting picked up. until next time (which i hope is soon)!
